ALA NIJIM, M.D. – PULMONOLOGIST AND INTENSIVIST
Ala Nijim, M.D., is a pulmonologist and intensivist at Castle Hills Medical Center dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of a comprehensive range of respiratory and lung conditions.
She cares for patients facing asthma, COPD, chronic respiratory failure, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary conditions, lung nodules and masses, and sleep apnea, and is committed to early detection through lung cancer screening.
After completing internal medicine training in Akron, Ohio, Dr. Nijim pursued pulmonary fellowship training at Marshall University in West Virginia, followed by critical care training at Yale University in Connecticut. That combination of rigorous, multi-institutional experience gives patients confidence that they are receiving expert, well-rounded care.
Having relocated to the Dallas area from East Texas after starting a family, Dr. Nijim is proud to call this community home and is deeply committed to serving its patients with compassion, precision, and personalized attention.
CARA GRIFFITH, PA-C
Cara has been a part of our pulmonary team since 2018. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Arkansas before completing her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
While she manages all aspects of pulmonary health, her special clinical interests include pulmonary nodules, asthma and biologic treatments, COPD, sleep apnea, and management of atypical mycobacterial infections.
Outside of the clinic, Cara enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their two children.
